Department of Visual and Performing Arts:

The arts serve as vital channels of communication that enhance our understanding of human relationships and foster creativity in addressing challenges. They provoke us to reconsider our viewpoints, enabling us to perceive and interpret our surroundings, while also providing enjoyment.

Students have the opportunity to select from a diverse array of courses encompassing visual, performing, and media arts. Classes focused on theory, history, and performance illustrate how individual expression can mirror and transform the culture from which it originates. These courses cultivate innovative problem-solving techniques, facilitate deep and engaging communication, and enrich our comprehension of what it means to be fully human and alive.

The Department of Visual Arts, Humanities, and Theatre provides educational programs in visual arts, philosophy, and religion, theatre, as well as courses in the humanities. Each program culminates in either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Our department is actively engaged in a variety of special programs, events, and numerous creative, expressive, and scholarly activities involving both faculty and students. Ultimately, it equips students for leadership roles by imparting essential knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for their professional endeavors and community involvement.

We offer students a robust general education, specialized training, practical experiences, and opportunities to engage with esteemed visual and performing artists, philosophers, and theologians.
